After breakfast meeting with our LGBT Friendly Tour Guide and be ready to spend a full day in Venice Lagoon. Boat to Murano, Burano and Torcello Islands exploring the beauty of this little villages. Welcome to Murano, the city famous for its glass production. The small island of Murano, off Venice, has been producing glass for over 600 years. The glass-blowing tradition was moved from Venice to Murano in the 13th century because most of the buildings in Venice were made of wood, and rulers were worried that having glass blowers around would cause the buildings to catch fire. Here don’t miss the opportunity to visit to a Glass Blowing Factory on Murano. Then continue to the village of Burano, where the colorful houses are reflected into the green waters of channels and a little village famous for its lace tradition. After lunch on your own, optional visit to the Merletto Museum (entrance not included). Continue by boat to Torcello to see the spectacular Byzantine mosaics in the seventh century Cathedral of Santa Maria Dell'Assunta. Then back to Venice by boat. Take time to walk the path alongside the river, or at least to see the three major gateways into the city, Porta San Tommaso, Porta Santi Quaranta, and Porta Altinia. Including Vicenza in its World Heritage list, UNESCO cited the work here of Andrea Palladio in the 16th century. Palladian ideals mix freely here with the distinctive Venetian styles. Here you will visit the Olympic Theatre, a master piece of the Renaissance master builder Palladio. Take a walk though the city and visit the Church of St Anthony of Padua, the famous Prato della Valle, one the biggest square in the world. Continue with Scrovegni Chapel (entrance fee included), the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta and the Baptistery. Lunch on your own to taste local specialities. In the afternoon excursion to the scenic wine region of Colli Euganei. The Colli Euganei is characterized by its steep, almost triangular hills (caused millennia ago by volcanoes), its medieval hamlets and monasteries (many still inhabited by Benedictine monks) and by its unspoiled landscapes. Continue to Arqua Petrarca to take a walk in this pictoresque town and then stop to visit the Monselice Castle also called Cini Castle, at the foot of the Colle della Rocca (entrance fee included).
